The nickname "Kilowattito" is born
At 5 years old, he disassembles his grandfather Tito's VCR in an attempt to understand how it works.

First job at 16 years old
Firewall setup — his first opportunity came through his contacts in the Scouts. His dad didn't like it at all and he had to quit for a while: the only time technology got him in trouble at home.

Enters the Universidad Latinoamericana
Systems area manager while attending ITAM - a degree he never completed. He got bored because he was already doing very well in his job. That's also where he made what he calls his most expensive mistake: recommending someone who was "technically good but a complete idiot for everything else" for a leadership position, when he should have taken the job himself. "Epic fail", he sums up today.

Becomes independent and founds DeSiCi
Born out of frustration from working for someone else. He landed his first client through a referral from an acquaintance — and lost his first one due to a personal mistake, not because of price or competition.

Pioneer of cloud computing as a service in Mexico. The challenge wasn't just convincing a skeptical Mexican entrepreneur that the cloud was secure - it was convincing them to use a local provider instead of going straight to a hyperscaler like Amazon, giving away the margin.

He is running for an elective office at LACNIC (Latin American and Caribbean Internet Addresses Registry). In the months leading up to his candidacy, he read 19 books by Isaac Asimov and the entire biographical work of Walter Isaacson — his favorite remains Asimov's short story "The Last Question".
